First some impressions from REGUA (Reserva Ecológica de Guapiaçu), it protects one of the last stands of tropical rainforest left in the severely depleted Atlantic Rainforest, or Mata Atlântica, in Brazil
Marshy area with Capibara's and White-faced Whistling Ducks, here it's possible to see more than 100 species of Birds in one day in this area!

Feeders in the garden attracting Hummingbirds like the Swallow-tailed Hummingbird
And during the night beautiful moths can be seen
From Guapi Assu it's easy to drive to the impressive Serra dos Orgaos, two excellent local guides are available from the lodge. En route, these displaying Streamer-tailed Tyrants
and near Sumidoro, the vulnarable Three-toed Jacamar, just 18cm tall
Suddenly a lot of noise, Howler Monkeys on their way!
